description
A preferred supplier is being sought to provide a comprehensive cabling service for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS).
The requirement is for:
The supply, commissioning, installation, termination and testing of structured cabling and Audio Visual (AV) equipment, including associated AV cabling across the Property portfolio of LFRS.
This will include UTP-Cat5e, optical fibre (single and multicore), copper telecoms and the installation of cable trays, PVC Trunking, cabinets, patch panels and cable distribution with the racks, AV Projectors, Projector Mounts, Projector screens, AV Control Interface units and PVC containment.
There is also a requirement for site surveys, Topology designs, installation documentation (including test results), break / fix maintenance of faulty cables and sockets as required and ad-hoc drilling and floor tile cutting services.
LFRS is keen to develop a service concept with trusted close partnership working with the awarded supplier whereby advice and consultancy is provided on all aspects of the cabling service, including changes in technology that would be beneficial for LFRS to consider.
This type of working provides significant added value as it provides an effective, specialised technical advice service when required lessening the need for LFRS to provide resource intensive contact for each and every element of proposed work in fine detail with the supplier.
