Volunteering Support Service

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking an experience provider to deliver this contract

The service will be the strategic lead for volunteering in the borough and should work to promote a culture of 'giving' across all of Hounslow's communities and raise the profile of informal and formal volunteering and social action.

Volunteers are a vital part of local service provision within the VCSE sector, and this service is expected to provide an appropriate way for organisations to recruit volunteers with suitable skills and to improve the diversity of volunteers within organisations, supporting them to better reflect the borough and the communities they support. It will also need to work closely with other infrastructure support organisations to ensure that Hounslow's VCSE groups receive a holistic and joined up support offer. This includes the Hounslow Infrastructure Support Service commissioned by the Council alongside this service.
