description

This is a Research & Development Project looking into continued screening and research into the spread of the Sweet Chestnut Blight disease on trees within the UK.

The project is looking to utilise samples collected by Forest Research (part of the Forestry Commission) to collate and analyse data generated during a proposed six month study to provide an understanding of the population structure of the pathogen and potential of hypovirulence to see if it can be effective as disease control in the UK .
