Executive Summary
This contract will be for a five year programme to act the Delivery Partner for Innovate UK activities helping young businesses in the cleantech sector access overseas markets and investment. The activities will be known as the Clean and Cool Programme and comprise of running Clean and Cool Missions (two during the five year period of this contract), managing the network of Mission alumni companies including work to track their performance, and growth of the Clean and Cool Network, particularly from Innovate UK’s own funding alumni.
Clean and Cool Missions are entrepreneur missions taking 15-20 young, innovative UK cleantech companies to overseas markets to rapidly build their networks, know-how and ambition as they forge new business. Places on the Missions are competitive and applicants must demonstrate a scalable cleantech solution, a strong team and a fit with the market in the Mission location.
The Clean and Cool Network comprises Mission alumni companies, promising UK cleantech SMEs with the potential to be future Mission companies and Mission stakeholders such as sponsors, advisors, investors and journalists.
Clean and Cool Missions take 15-20 of the UK’s best young, innovative, high-growth potential companies to overseas markets to help them grow faster. Missions achieve this by supporting the SMEs to:
