The purpose of this project is to deliver a system for the surveillance of traffic conditions on key routes suitable for fast and accurate incident detection and development of intelligent traffic signal control strategies.

Project Outcomes are to:

Support growth of the economy by optimising strategic traffic flow through provision of live traffic flow information, alerts and traffic profiling during incidents for reactive incident strategy development.

Improve resilience of the transport network, reducing disruption from both planned and unplanned events.

Reduce transport-related emissions and improve air quality.
