Additional information: The total spend is estimated at £1.1m per annum. Covering 3 NDA Group entities, Sellafield Ltd, Magnox Ltd and Dounreay Site Restoration Limited.

Scope - The scope is for the supply and testing of c180 HEPA filters for use in radioactive and/or toxic atmospheric air and/or inert gas handling systems. Testing will be in accordance with the standard Engineering Standards BS EN ISO 14644-3 and also include 14 Type Tests and 8 Additional Tests.

Contract Duration is anticipated to be for 5 years with an optional extension for 3 years. It is anticipated that one lot will be used for both testing and filters supply, which will be validated post the market engagement.

NDA will be looking for filter manufacturers and/or distributors, who have in house testing capabilities, or suppliers who can subcontract the testing to their supply chain or suppliers who can act as service providers on behalf of manufactures and testing houses.

NDA will be finalising the strategy following the market feedback and the releasing the tender within the next 3-6 months.
