Press Cuttings Media Monitoring and Evaluation Service

For the provision of:

• 1)Media Monitoring Service:
• The supplier is providing NHS Improvement with a daily overnight summary and analysis of broadcast and print media, including but not limited to major online, local and national publications. This includes coverage of:
• What is happening in the health sector
• Any mention of Monitor
• Any mention of CQC (with regard to hospitals, acute care or foundation trusts/the foundation trust sector)
• Any mention of NHS Trust Development Authority
• Summary and analysis of relevant stories about Foundation Trusts (this would be finances, management concerns or changes at any FTs).

• 2)A Media Evaluation Service
• An evaluation for individual press releases from NHS Improvement, 72 hours after their circulation. The evaluation will include the number of items of coverage detailing the sentiment and reach of each piece of coverage.
• Monthly evaluation of coveragewhich will be human verified.
• Provision of a quarterly summary report.

• 3)A Media Contacts Database
• The supplier is providing access to a comprehensive, pro-active and real-time updated contact database covering the majority of UK national, regional, local and major online media.
• Access to a database that will be used by Monitor to create and manage bespoke lists to enable mass communications to media outlets.
