description
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is looking to gauge market interest and conditions for the provision of services to gather intelligence from people who use services, their family members and carers relating to the quality of health and social care services in England. As the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, CQC is responsible for monitoring and inspecting these services to ensure they are providing care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive to people's needs and well-led. Listening to and acting on people's experiences of care is vital to CQC's work, as it helps us to decide when, where and what to inspect, supports better registration, inspection, judgements and ratings, and results in better information for the public. Since 2012, CQC has established a number of partnerships with national voluntary organisations, known as Tell us about your care partnerships, in order to increase our access to people's experiences of care via organisations that are already working with and hearing from people on an on-going basis.

CQC anticipates publishing a ËRequest for Information (RFI) market engagement exercise on 12th August 2019, whereby organisations who are interested in this requirement will have the opportunity to review a draft Service Specification and respond to a number of questions regarding the nature of the service requirement. As part of this process, webinar sessions are anticipated to be held on 22nd August (14:00-15:00) and 29th August (15:30 -16:30) to enable CQC to provide further information about the service requirement (please note that the times/dates of the webinars are subject to change).
Following this it is intended that a procurement exercise will take place commencing September 2019.
The RFI and any future procurement exercise will be undertaken using the CQC Provider Portal eTendering Service. To access the documents and take part you will first need to register on the portal using the following link and then click on "REGISTER HERE".
