Gloucestershire County Council has invited applications from suitably experienced and skilled organisations, to operate a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, alarm monitoring centre for the service users benefitting from Telecare.

The Council is constantly striving to improve the service provided by Telecare for the benefit of its service users. To this end, a provider is being sought who will be able to work with the Council to find innovative and flexible solutions for meeting the predicted rise in the use of Telecare.

The Council's requirements over the next 2 years for a Countywide Telecare monitoring service to enable people to stay living safely and independently within their own homes. The contract will include approximately 2000 service users who are supported with a wide range of Telecare equipment through the Council's Specialist and Basic Telecare Services.
