Project Management, Commercial Support and Technical Support for the A38 Manadon Interchange Scheme.

Project Management support through provision of a Project Manager working on the project 4 days per week.

The key tasks required of the Project Manager are:

  • Leading the project on a day-to-day basis as Project Manager;
  • Reporting progress updates to the PCC client lead through regular progress meetings;
  • Producing briefing notes to update the PCC Portfolio holder;
  • Leading monthly progress meetings with the project team and National Highways;
  • Leading progress meetings with the Department for Transport to report progress;
  • Managing the design team (Balfour Beatty and AECOM), including attending fortnightly design team meetings and reviewing scope of works for design team commissions;
  • Managing the PCC project team and support consultants to progress the planning application and supporting surveys;
  • Managing the transport modelling team and providing assurance for modelling reports, ensuring these are produced in line with DfT guidance in WebTAG and the methodologies set out in the Appraisal Specification Report, and issuing to DfT;
  • Working with the design team to refine and update the existing QRA;
  • Assessment of procurement options for future stages (working with the PCC procurement team) and developing a procurement strategy;
  • Determining the scheme governance arrangements, in liaison with the PCC client lead.
