NHS South Sefton CCG - Community Services – Invitation to Market Engagement Event

NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (SSCCG) is made up of local doctors, nurses, practice staff and member of the public, who are well placed to know the health needs and views of people living in the area.

SSCCG bring together 32 doctor’s surgeries covering an area from Hightown in the north, Bootle in the south and Melling and Lydiate to the east and serve a population of approximately 160,000 patients in the CCG area.

This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice, and relates only to the market engagement process and is not a call for competition

SSCCG would like to invite Providers to attend a 'Market Engagement Event' which will inform the market of our intentions to provide community services.

Providers will be expected to demonstrate:

• How they will partner with CCGs in an environment of transforming health and social care provision in accordance with the Five Year Forward View and the commissioners 5 year strategy
• How they will support CCGs cost improvements as part of the QIPP programmes of the CCG, including proposals for risk sharing continuing health care spend growth
• How they will support CCG quality improvements as part of the QIPP programme in the CCG
• How the management structure they have has senior clinical leadership and oversight of the service
• How they will include service users in their service development
• How they will work and integrate with other provider organisations, including primary and secondary care
• How they can demonstrate their own internal efficiencies and value for money

Through this procurement exercise, SSCCG is looking for a community services provider that will work with SSCCG and other key partners to deliver the best healthcare for the population of South Sefton.

The contract will be for a minimum of 5 years and will have a potential option to extend for a further 2 years.

As integrated approach will be expected of the appointed provider, any organisation wishing to attend the market engagement event and/or consider bidding for the contract should start to consider how they can integrate with any other providers prior to the event. However, there will also be networking opportunities provided to the delegates at the event.

There will be a maximum number of 3 delegates per organisation. A confirmation e-mail with further details will be sent to confirm delegates places.

Delegates are required to reserve a place at the event to allow for planning requirements by the CCG.

Deadline for delegates to reserve their place is 12pm on Monday 2nd November 2015.
