SC20053 Teynham Parochial CEPS 1FE Expansion - 2FE New Build

The Kent County Council's (the Contracting Authority) Capital Projects Department are looking to procure a two stage Design & Build Principal Contractor via the Principal Contractor's Framework Lot 2 to provide Design & Build Services starting with RIBA stage 2 Concept Design, up to and including RIBA stage 4 and planning application/consultation assistance.

The services are required for: -

A new 2FE primary school to replace the existing 1FE school. The need for additional pupil places will be realised in September 2023. Scope includes new 2FE primary school, demolition of existing school, construction of new nursery, alteration to car park and likely construction of a new MUGA subject to planning.

New build 2-storey 2FE school to feature:

• 12 General Teaching Classrooms
• 2 reception classrooms
• 1 practical space
• 1 studio/ Breakfast Club space
• LRC
• 1 large hall
• SEN therapy space
• SEN resource
• Sick room
• General admin space
• WC's and associated circulation areas

Nursery:

A separate nursery is also proposed with sizing and block layout to be confirmed.
