The works shall comprise the provision and installation of communal replacement lighting, emergency lighting, external lighting, small power and mains/sub main distribution boards to Blocks 1-3. The work includes external lighting upgrades to the block entrances, car park and basement alleyway. For the individual block details please refer to the relevant drawing.

Estimated contract value - £100,000.00

Contract start date - November 2021

Project duration - 4 Months

The site is located at Old All Saints School, 19 Fairview Road, Cheltenham, GL52 2EQ.

The building is a converted School to 3 No general needs blocks of flats.

Block 1 - Flats 1 to 5

Block 2 - Flats 6 to 14

Block 3 - Flats 15 to 19

Please Note! Electrical contractors working on this project may require UKATA-B trained operatives to carry out non-notifiable non-licenced asbestos works (pending asbestos reports).

Please Note! There are no welfare facilities in any of the blocks.

Please Note! Electrical contractors will need to be PASMA trained due high ceiling heights.

Limitations of the site

The Electrical Services Contractor is to visit the 3 no. three storey general needs blocks and be completely satisfied as to the means of access, parking restrictions, nature and conditions of the Scheme.

There is also a basement containing switch room and gas/electric meter rooms.

There are no communal facilities in any of the Blocks.

The Electrical Services Contractor's attention is drawn to the fact that the existing Scheme will be in use during the Contract and he is to take all necessary precautions and provide all necessary protection.

The Electrical Services Contractor should arrange his work programme so as to cause the minimum of inconvenience to the running of the Scheme.

Free access to each block shall be kept clear at all times for the duration of each Contract.

Working space shall be confined to the immediate areas of the work to be executed.

Mains Distribution

The communal existing Utilities TP+N 100amp supply cable, cut out meter shall remain (Basement Meter Room).

This arrangement currently feeds a 100amp TP+N fused disconnector switch within the same room.

The consumer switch then feeds an existing Wylex Ltd 12 way TP+N MCB distribution board in the adjacent room.

New 25 mm2 double sheathed LSF meter tails shall be installed from the existing 100 amp TP&N fuse switch.

The Electrical Services Contractor shall supply and install from the new switch an 6 way TP&N panel board, Reference NHVM32506 complete with integral 250 amp TP&N switch disconnector, Reference NHVL4250SW. Surge protection shall also be fitted referenced NHVMTPNCLSA. All items of distribution as manufactured by Wylex Ltd.
