Barnby Dun Play Area - Supply & Installation of Play Equipment & Surfacing

To design, supply and install new play equipment and opportunities for junior and toddler (age range 3 - 14). The equipment should be modern, inventive and creative to encourage physical strength and challenge alongside imaginative play. The equipment can be either metal or timber construction or a combination. Design should consider future maintenance by the most cost effective means and suitability. The scheme does not require planning permission for items under 4m tall.

All old equipment and surfacing to be removed and/or recycled.

Public consultation indicated the following to be considered in the design:

swings (junior/toddler/team/inclusive),trim trail and adventure mound, spinner,inclusive round-a-bout, imaginative play piece eg ship, and larger multi-use climbing apparatus.

There will be an opportunity to meet at the site on 2nd February 2018 at 10.00am to discuss the project.

Your designs and quotations should be a fixed price. Contractors are reminded that an independent API/RoSPA post-installation inspection report will need to be included. The quotations should include visual graphics and aerial plans to scale submitted on A3 size.

Please note that the supplier is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for the preparation of the tender submission. All cost, expenses and liabilities incurred by the supplier in connection with the preparation of their submission, the form of tender and pricing schedule shall be borne by the supplier.

Barnby Dun with Kirk Sandall Parish Council reserve the right not to award a contract in full or part.
