Sandwell Council is looking to deliver transformational change to West Bromwich and create a place that people can be proud to call their home. Where people come to work and play and a place that is capable of capitalising on the significant opportunities that will soon be coming to the West Midlands.
SMBC are required to build 13,420 new homes to achieve their target in the 2026 Core Strategy. WMCA are tasked with accelerating delivery by 4,000 additional dwellings across the region per annum to 2031.
In alignment with the Black Country Core Strategy, the principles set out in the WMCA Housing and Land Portfolio, the Council's Inclusive Economy Agenda and the emerging HLDB Design Charter SMBC is looking to accelerate growth and regeneration in West Bromwich by delivering a residential led housing scheme of up to c.600 units on the site of the current Lyng Industrial Estate.
We are now seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced multi-disciplinary team to develop a viability assessment and development framework.
