Portsmouth City Council is inviting expressions of interest from experienced contractors to undertake the construction of a new community building, demolition of redundant glass houses, restoration of listed stone memorials, repairs to the existing aviary and hard and soft landscaping in Victoria Park, Anglesea Road, Portsmouth, PO1 3HJ.
The works form part of a wider National Lottery Heritage Fund project that will restore the historic park's original design, provide enhanced community facilities and deliver a range of activities to support greater community engagement with the park and its heritage. More information on the wider project is available here: https://victoriaparkportsmouth.org.uk/.
The estimate contract value is ?1.2m and we expect work to commence on site late in 2022 and to complete late summer 2023. We are looking to appoint a principal contractor, with the ability to undertake the works directly or through established subcontracting arrangements. The contract is for construction only.
