description

Worcestershire County Council has the statutory responsibility to ensure that the county's public rights of way network is properly mapped and maintained and the network is unobstructed and available for use by the public.

Worcestershire has around 16,000 individual public rights of way covering 4,600km. This network, made up of footpaths, bridleways and byways, provides the public with a means of access on foot, horseback, cycle and, on a small number of routes, using motorised vehicles. The network is used mostly for informal recreation but also in some locations, as important means of accessing shops, schools, places of employment and other services.

The Council is looking for Service Providers to replace foot and bridle bridges across the public rights of way network.

The opportunity is divided into 2 geographical lots - North and South. The contract duration for each lot is 3 years.

2019.02.22. UPDATE. A Q&R (Question and Response) document has been attached.
