description
1.To develop the tools, methods and data to provide the evidence needed to inform future decisions on UK nuclear energy programmes including reactor technologies and fuel cycles.
2.To facilitate regulatory engagement into the Innovation Programme.
This work procures the assistance of the nuclear regulator ONR when requested by BEIS to consider the impact of new developments.
3.To manage UK access to facilities and data sources that will enhance UK R&D.
This work procures:
a)UK Membership of the Nuclear Energy Agency.
b)Access to international irradiation facilities.
c)The provision of technical co-ordination of UK access to national and international facilities.
d)Access to the Nuclear Data Bank.
