description
This is a market engagement event for Adult Pathway services commissioned by The Council who are proposing to set up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Housing Commissioning and Partnerships Team (HCPT).
This meeting will explain the system and how to register. It will provide details about the Adult Pathway services and the rationale for using DPS for future procurement. We are keen to hear your views on the Council's proposal to use this system.
Adult Pathway:
The London Borough of Camden commissions housing related support services in hostels and supported housing for young people, people with mental health issues, people with learning and/or physical disabilities, single homeless people with support needs, and women escaping domestic violence and abuse.
The services for single homeless people with support needs and women escaping domestic violence and abuse are commissioned by the Housing Commissioning and Partnerships Team and are known collectively as the Adult Pathway.
The Adult Pathway plays an integral part in the Council's Homelessness Accommodation Strategy (February 2016) and the Council's rough sleeping strategy 'Tackling Rough Sleeping in Camden - A Routes Off The Street Approach' (February 2017).
The Adult Pathway was launched by the Council in April 2007 and comprises 650 beds. The level of support provided varies between services, but the majority of services provide 24/7 cover and are for people with medium to high support needs. The main purpose of the Adult Pathway is to prevent homelessness, to help to reduce rough sleeping across the borough and to enable those with support needs and/or chaotic lifestyles to acquire the skills to live independently.
