description

The aim of this project is to assess whether the current AES schemes provide sufficient flexibility in relation to both the gradual impacts of climate change and changes to the severity and frequency of extreme weather events in their ability to deliver their environmental outcomes.

Two aspects will be assessed.

Are climate change impacts impacting the ability of agreement holders to deliver AES prescriptions and indicators of success

Are the operation (both the design and implementation) of AES sufficiently flexible to ensure that climate change changes to the natural environment can be accommodated with no adverse impact on the desired environmental outcomes.
