description

The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult ("ORE Catapult") requires a business case that appraises a proposed site for the Robotics Cluster for Offshore Renewable Energy sector ("R-CORE"). RCORE is proposing to build an offshore facility to test sub-sea robotic technologies.

The objective of the project is to offer an offshore facility to test sub-sea robotic technologies such as autonomous vehicles in conditions representative of those expected at offshore wind sites. It is intended that OEMs, other large industrial companies, the developers and owner/operators will be able to access the site to improve existing and develop the next generation renewable energy technology in the UK.
