description
The Devon, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Climate Impacts Group (DCIoS CIG) wishes to enlist additional resource to help prepare a strategic-level Adaptation Strategy, that will:
- a)Identify and evaluate the risks and opportunities for the region arising from or affected by climate change and how their magnitude and/or likelihood is expected to change
- b)Set out how the region can create the conditions and capacity for everyone to act on adapting to climate change together
- c)Identify priority impacts and actions for regional collaboration
- d)Be clear about the time horizon for the Plan, how it will be monitored, how often the plan will be reviewed and by who.
The deliverables are:
| o | A climate risk and opportunity assessment for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly |
| o | The Adaptation Plan: Creating the conditions for everyone to act on adapting to climate change together - How adaptation planning will take place and be monitored across DCIoS |
| o | An Action Plan: Priority actions for regional collaboration over the next 5 years |
There is a set budget of £25,000 from the Environment Agency Flood Defence Grant in Aid to complete this work.
