description
The Department of Health, on behalf of NHS Property Services, are looking at procuring a number of back office applications (using open standards and application programming interfaces as much as possible) delivered through the Software as a Service model to support a portfolio of 5,000 properties. The procurements have been broken into two Phases. Phase one will be a process to acquire the following applications:
| • | An Asset Management System to store property portfolio data resulting in an ability to strategically manage a £3.5b property portfolio |
| • | A Finance System that is configured for a property business |
| • | A Capital Project Management tool to track, manage and report against £100m of annual expenditure |
We are proposing to use a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) Tower Model which will eventually consist of six application towers, each consisting of one contract for the appropriate application. It is our intension to use clarified supplier’s Terms and Conditions for each contract with a collaboration agreement which will complement the supplier contracts. NHS Property Services ICT will acting as the business and technology integrator. This is subject to change however, following pre-market engagement.
We would like suppliers to register their interest by emailing david.hands@dh.gsi.gov.uk with your contact details and which services are of interest to you. We would also like you to send a completed Supplier Questionnaire which has been attached to this notice or by emailing david.hands@dh.gsi.gov.uk. Suppliers may be invited to participate in one-to-one discussions to view the proposed model and discuss strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and to give a presentation of their system.
