description
Birmingham City Council currently runs 14 day nurseries in Birmingham. The Council is looking to withdraw as the current provider of the nurseries and commence a Due Diligence Process for each nursery by inviting responses for delivery of childcare services from other public bodies and the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) sector, including social enterprises.
The Council invites interested applicants to participate in this Due Diligence Process which will be used to approve the most appropriate applicant for the nursery settings being made available. Successful applicants will take on the running of the day nurseries, by completing a TUPE transfer of existing staff, where required, and entering into lease agreements with the Council for nursery buildings or the parts of buildings currently occupied by the Nurseries. The Council will not be providing any funding regarding the running of the day nurseries after completion of transfers and will not contract manage or seek any performance measures with successful applicants.
The deadline for receipt of responses to the Council is no later than 12pm (midday) on 03/04/2019.
Upon receipt of the attached Confidentiality Agreement, the Council will send applicants a full pack of information on the day nurseries. You are invited to visit the nurseries and must return a complete Site Visit Response Form. Visits will take place 6th - 21st March.
Registration and use of in-tend is free. All correspondence for this due diligence process must be via the in-tend correspondence function. If you are unable to register with in-tend please either email us at cps@birmingham.gov.uk or call 0121 464 8000.
