Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) is undertaking a procurement for recruitment support to recruit to the role Head of Business Services.
The Head of Business Services will:
| • | Deliver immediate operational estate solutions to ensure the HSCIC has suitable cost efficient office space that meets the business requirements of its workforce. |
| • | Provide strategic development of the HSCIC estate portfolio in line with wider Department of Health (DH) and Government Property Unit (Cabinet Office) direction and policy. Represent HSCIC in the development and delivery of strategic solutions with other public sector organisations including Cabinet Office and DH. |
| • | Manage a team of estates and facilities professionals, internal and external suppliers to deliver a professional, proactive and measured service to SLA’s and OLA’s. |
| • | Manage the estate and facilities budget (in excess of £22m) ensuring compliance with public sector governance requirements, meeting value for money expectations and ensuring quantifiable cost efficiencies are secured wherever possible. |
| • | The role will also have responsibility in the following areas: Health & Safety; Government approaches for effective use of office space; sustainability; and physical security strategy development and implementation. |
The procurement will be completed through the framework: HMRC 2016 Executive Search, Selection & Assessment DPS Lot 1. Suppliers must be registered with this framework in order to be eligible to bid.

As per the framework guidance, this notice is being issued 15 days in advance of the tender being released.
HSCIC will issue a notice to advise suppliers when the tender has been released, via the GPS esourcing portal in line with the framework guidance. (Please see: https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk ).
However, HSCIC uses Delta e-sourcing to monitor and evaluate tenders, therefore suppliers must be registered with Delta in order to download the tender documentation and subsequently issue a response. https://www.delta-esourcing.com
