Principal Accountant

Sandwell MBC are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic individual to manage the Schools Finance Traded Team and Resources (Corporate Services) Financial Management Team.

Reporting to a Finance Business Partner the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of both teams ensuring the effective delivery of:

• The provision of financial information, advice and guidance;

• The annual budget setting and business planning processes;

• The production of the annual Statement of Accounts and statutory returns.

Hours - 37 Hours

Start date - as soon as possible

End date - 3 months from start date

Rate of pay - Band I £23.66 - 2517 PAYE hover, agencies can advise what the candidate would be looking for on a Ltd company basis.

Contract type - Agency

Please Note - Applicants will need to be a member of a chartered accounting body and be able to demonstrate experience in managing staff and experience of operating with senior officers, stakeholders and partnership groups.
