Central Bedfordshire Council has appointed The Place Group Tender to carry out CBC-1423-LV-MP-research for the Early Years Childcare Sufficiency Report 2022 on all Central Bedfordshire Early Years Providers:
- An understanding of take up of childcare and profile of children attending and trends
- An understanding of take up of early years education and profile of children attending against eligible children and reasons for families not taking up early years entitlement
- An understanding of take up of wrap around care and holiday provision and profile of children attending
- An understanding of take up by children with SEND and use of SENIF/DAF funding to support children in settings
- An understanding of take up of LAC
- Current costs of childcare to include wrap around and holiday provision
- An understanding of the views of parents in relation to availability and meeting their needs
- An understanding of the views of providers in relation to barriers to delivery and take up of places
- An understanding of early years workforce and training
- An understanding of quality of provision quality of provision
- An understanding of providers interested in expanding their current provision or developing new provision within Central Bedfordshire
- An understanding of the immediate and longer term impact of Covid-19 on early years demand and provision
- A plan to support us with achieving childcare sufficiency
The Council will provide as much support and information as it can to help guide you through the quotation process. Questions asked together with the response, will be made available to all tenderers, to ensure a fair and consistent approach to all.

Completed Quotations and attachments should be submitted electronically by the due date via our In-tend electronic tendering system. Quotations must be uploaded via the "My Return" section of the system. Quotations submitted through the correspondence facility will not be considered. Your Quotation must be submitted via the In-tend system by no later than Thursday 25th at midday (12:00 hrs)
Quotations received after that time will be excluded.
