description

The Electro-Magnetic Fields Directive (2013/35/EU July 2013) is the third directive of the suite of physical agents’ directives. It replaces Directive 2004/40/EC was published in 2004, but was never fully transposed by member states (including the UK) on the advice of the Commission.

The project will be delivered in one work package building on a previous piece of work commissioned by RSSB .

The aim of this work package (WP 15/031) is to undertake: all necessary work in order to produce informed rail-specific guidance on risk assessment, modelling and mitigations that will enable the entire GB railway industry to be prepared to implement the EMF Directive in a timely, efficient and effective manner when it comes into force in 2016.
