North Tyneside Urgent Care - Request for Information

NHS North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) proposes to commission urgent care service which may include provision of Out of Hours Primary Care Services, Minor Injuries Unit Services and Walk In (urgent care) Primary Care Services for the population of North Tyneside.

The Five Year Forward View starts the move towards a different NHS, recognising the challenges and outlining potential solutions to the big questions facing health and care services in England. It defines the framework for further detailed planning about how the NHS needs to evolve over the next five years.

The overall objective is to improve services for patient’s right across the spectrum of urgent and emergency care and identify potential solutions. The CCG are working towards developing joined up urgent care services which will focus on:

The CCG wish to receive the views from potential providers on the potential service models for delivery of urgent care services and are undertaking a market engagement exercise.
