description
Dacorum Borough Council seeks an experienced company to provide Weed Control Services. The control is mainly to the Public Highway, The successful Contractors must be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary resources to deliver herbicide control services as specified.
The contract shall be for a period of four years commencing during February 2022 with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months.
The Contractor is required to control all unwanted vegetation (weeds on land detailed in the schedule of requirements) by the use of appropriate herbicides in the following areas.
Non-selective, translocated herbicide to footpaths, hard standings, drying areas, garage forecourts, channels and kerbs.
It is the Council's policy to control weeds on the surfaces specified using the safest methods viable. Where herbicides are used, these are to be selected with optimum consideration to safety and efficacy. The objective is to ensure minimum risk to operators, the public, water supplies and environment.
