MBC Depot Generator

Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is looking to purchase a generator with a power rating of between 80KVA to 100KVA to mitigate against the disruption caused by a power outage. The depot at Bircholt Road is an important part of Maidstone Borough Council's service responsibility, therefore vital that a level of service is attainable during periods of local or national outages. For that reason, we require a generator that will support the continuity of key services. There are several aspects that need to be considered, including:

⬢ Powering the fuel pump used for the fleet of vehicles still running on diesel

⬢ Charging the fleet of electric vehicles

⬢ Charging the electric ground maintenance equipment

⬢ Maintaining a level of power within the MBC depot office to run the systems needed to support the actions outlined above.
