The National Institure for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) a centre of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), also referred to as the 'Authority', has a requirement for the supply of Foetal Bovine Serum. The requirement is split into three:
- - For all divisions with the exceptions of UKSCB and Virology, approximately 42L per year;
- - For the Virology Division, approximately 125L per year;
- - For the UK Stem Cell Bank (UKSCB), approximately 50L per year.
