description

The purpose of this assignment is to provide specialist technical support to the DfT's Interoperability Project Team to help ensure Brexit readiness, and to carry out a thorough analysis of EU legislation related to the Interoperability Directive. The driver for this programme of work is the need to prepare legislative changes in time for "day one" Brexit in March 2019. The work involves helping DfT identify and address any deficiencies that may arise in retained EU law that deals with rail technical standards.

The outputs from this work will feed into regulatory changes that may be made to UK law to prepare for "day one" of Brexit.
