Stoke-on-Trent City Council are seeking to commission a service Provider to deliver a community practical cooking programme called Cook and Eat, to support targeted populations across the city of Stoke-on-Trent to adopt healthier eating habits to improve nutrition and general health. The service contract is for a maximum of 12 months with a maximum of £36,000 available and a target of 270 individuals completing Cook and Eat (attending a minimum of 4 out of 6 sessions) in the year. The Provider must ensure that the Cook and Eat offer is available across the city of Stoke-on-Trent with an even distribution of programmes in the north, central and south of the city. All responses to the service specification will be evaluated against evidence of the criteria set out in the Quality Standards. Providers of Cook and Eat will be required to demonstrate competencies and ability to deliver practical and educational sessions on nutrition and healthy eating.
