WHC - White Lion House Fit Out

White Lion House is a multi use ‘L’ shaped four storey building on the prominent south west corner of White Lion (Town) Square in the centre of Hatfield. The proposed works occur at 1st floor level to an empty and predominately cleared 490 sqm former office and to the 40 sqm access lobby from ground floor. This sits above a series of small occupied retail units on both facades behind the ground floor colonnade. Two storey maisonettes with their own separate external staircase access and terrace are located above.

The intention is to re-fit the office content and it’s ground floor access lobby for an incoming department of the Council to modern standards and for the visiting public. The works include replacement double glazed curtain walling, a new platform lift and a new fire escape staircase within the small rear yard to become the second means of escape from the maisonettes terrace. This will also involve new M&E services including comfort cooling and the adjustments to the waste and supply services to the maisonettes currently running at high level in the office space.
