Felling and extraction of large trees alongside a canal and within a wetland site

To fell two lines of poplars situated along the Romsey Canal and selective felling of a further copse of poplar situated to the north west of Fishlake Meadows. The trees situated on the canal are in excess of 120 dbh and are considered to be in the latter stages of safe, useful life expectancy. The canal forms part of the River Test Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). All cut material, along the canal, is to be removed off-site as part of the works. Extraction of all cut material, at Fishlake Meadows, is the preferred option. There is restricted access for extraction at both sites.

Tender returns must be sent to the Contract Administrator, Customer Service Unit (as detailed on page 7 of the Specification) in a sealed envelope marked "Private and Confidential: Tender for tree works Romsey Canal by – 12 noon on Wednesday 13 January 2016
