description
The purpose of this project is to complete a soft market testing exercise that will inform the recommissioning of a Carers service in Swindon
The existing Social Care Support Service has been in place for 11 years and is due to expire in December 2024. The intention is to go out to tender with a view to having a new service in place in January 2025. The current proposed approach is to run a single tender process split across two Lots. Lot 1 will be Support Services for Adult Carers. Lot 2 will be Support services for children with a caring responsibility, young carers and parent carers. This approach is subject to change pending internal governance and the results of market engagement.
The purpose of this SMT questionnaire is to gain intelligence on the supply market for Swindon Borough Council's requirements, including information that will help define the most appropriate structure and plan for any potential competitive procurement exercise.
