Cambridgeshire County Council SME Event Public Procurement: Buying Local, An Event for Cambridgeshire SMEs

TIME: 9.30am to 3 pm

PLACE: Burgess Hall, St Ives.

This free event, which is hosted by Cambridgeshire County Council, for SME suppliers will give you access to public sector buyers

You will have the opportunity to:

• Meet and engage a wide range of public sector procurement specialists

• Learn how to access opportunities to bid for public sector contracts from various bodies within the region.

• Understand how access the Cambridgeshire Public Service procurement portals

• Learn about the barriers and opportunities for SME's from public buying organisations such as CCS (Crown Commercial Services) and ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation)

• How to prepare for the impact of the digital switchover.

• Network with public sector buyers.

Who's Exhibiting?

Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge City Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, CPCA (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority), East Cambridgeshire District Council. As well as other Public Sector Organisations: Eastern Shire Purchasing Organisation, Anglian Water NHS Trusts within Cambridgeshire, Crown Commercial Service, DEFRA (Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

As well as this, hear an overview of the potential to support Care Leavers.

This event is primarily designed to support micro, small and medium sized businesses in the Cambridgeshire area, but business of similar size that border the County are welcomed to attend.
