description

The Trust is currently considering a requirement for dosimetry and immobilisation equipment to support the delivery of radiotherapy treatment.

The equipment would be for use within the Trust's new Cancer Centre. We are building a new, state of the art Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital. Most of our patients will come to the centre to have their treatments, allowing us to give them seamless care. Some of the equipment will also be used at our Satellite Cancer Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup.

The centres will be a hub for south east London, providing specialist cancer services, training, development and research. This will also help us to improve both cancer treatments and outcomes. The new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital is due to be completed by September 2016.
