Brief Description of the Works
NOC's have a requirement for the retrospective supply and installation of a new alarm system to each of a maximum of 50 Fume Cupboards installed during the past three years.
Alarm Works Overview
The works require a small alarm unit/plate to be installed adjacent to each of the existing 20 x Phase 1 & 2 fume cupboards and 22 x Phase 3 new replacement Fume Cupboards. The alarm box is to be mounted in the Laboratories existing power track and will consist of a 2 gang white 3 way switch plate fitted with the following items:-
- Alarm Lamp
- Audible Alarm Sounder
- Alarm Mute Button
The new alarm display unit is to be mounted in the existing laboratory in or above bench level power trunking track and new cabling installed back to the local MEDA level BMS panel that controls and monitors the fume cupboard being monitored. The MEDA panel will be modified to allow for the new alarm monitoring system.
All of the works are to be completed in line with the specification.
