External Domestic Stairs and Balconies - North Shields 2023

The Authority requires a suitably qualified Metal Staircase and Balconies Contractor to enter into a Contract (the Contract). for External Domestic Stairs and Balconies - North Shields 2023 (the Works).

The Contract is anticipated to commence April 23 and will be for 12 months.

The Authority will be acting as Principal Contractor and the successful bidder will be acting as a Sub-Contractor and will be rereferred to as the 'Contractor'.

There are 58 properties within North Shields with external staircases and balconies that are to be repaired or replaced as determined by the Authority. Across the 58 properties, there are approximately 5 different variations of the staircase and balcony design. It is the Authority's intention to replace / refurbish the existing timber staircases and balconies on the estate with a metal equivalent.

The Contractor will be required to work together with the Authority to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.
