description
Tameside has, for the last couple of years, block purchased 'winter pressure - transitional beds' to facilitate patient flow from the local hospital. These beds will be used where the service user is medically fit for discharge but their preferred care home of choice is not available. The beds will therefore be used as a short-term placement until the service user's preferred accommodation becomes available.
