GB-Braintree: Public Realm Enabling Works Lot 2

NOTE: This notice was updated on 06 May 2020 for the following reason: Extension of submission deadline by 1 week(The works are to reconstruct the existing carriageway and footway in High Street, Great Square and Market Square and Bank Street and create a surface with no level differentiation or delineation, as well as repairs to drainage manholes, gullies, carriers and laterals. Including new street furniture, street lighting, CCTV poles, ducting. Paving is to be a selection of high quality specialist materials for surface finishes as well as public realm enhancement works including street furniture and bespoke water features and adjustments to existing features within the works area. The scheme will also require new traffic signage for the local area.

Works are to be undertaken in accordance with the phased programme and mini launches are to be undertaken by the Contractor at handover upon completion of phased areas.

The objective of the works is to create improvements to the Public Realm within Great Square, Market Square and High Street and Bank Street.)

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
