EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT

The Authority is intending to conduct a procurement procedure to award a Framework Agreement for the Provision of Ambient Meals, Supplemental Goods, In-Cup Drinks and Ancillary Products for use by Forces Nationwide. The Authority is currently considering different ways to structure the Framework Agreement.

Meals must be suitable for storage without the use of refrigerators or freezers and shall have a minimum shelf life of twelve (12) months' from the time of delivery. All meals are to be pre-cooked and individually prepared in containers suitable for re-heating.

As part of early market engagement, the Authority is inviting feedback/views from economic operators.

Please register on the Authority's e-tendering portal and navigate to project_17362. Please complete and return the Early Market Engagement document. Please submit responses by 21st February 2018 at 16:00hrs.

Please note this early market engagement is an information gathering exercise only.

This early market engagement exercise will not influence the selection of bidders but this process aims to engage with economic operators to assess market interest, particularly around the proposed options. The Commissioner encourages open, fair and transparent procurement and omission from any part of the market engagement shall not be taken into account and any subsequent bidder selection or tender evaluation process.

This early engagement notice is not a call for competition for the purposes of Regulation 26(9) of the Public Contract regulation 2015 - a specific call for competition for this procurement may be published within the next 3-4 weeks. It is expected that any new contract(s) awarded as a result of such a tender process would commence on or around 1st June 2018.
