description
The University of Warwick has a requirement for a large-scale survey of small firms with a focus on the availability of equity funding for early-stage entrepreneurs. This will include science-based entrepreneurs but also those from other sectors where the provision of equity investment is helpful during the early stages of business development. The working hypothesis is that there remains an equity gap in early-stage equity at the £250k to £1m range, below the scale at which formal VC investments are typically made. This project is being funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Innovate UK (IUK).
