Office Accomodation Project - Civic Offices Refurbishment

Christchurch Borough Council and East Dorset District Councils are: 1. Working in Partnership to deliver services to the public 2. Seeking to relocate the majority of their staff to the Civic Offices in Bridge Street, Christchurch 3. Wish to see the Civic Offices extensively refurbished to enable the adoption of new ways of working 4. Christchurch Borough Council will be the employer for this project and wish to see the Civic Offices extensively refurbished to enable the adoption ofnew ways of working The Civic Offices (constructed 1980-83 Conder steel framed building, handmade facing brick elevations, RC floors) is to become the administrative HQ for the employers staff. Although parts have been altered and converted and the structure and fabric are in good condition, it has not benefited from any refurbishment or improvement. Electrical and ICT services installations have grown and adapted over time and are not fit for purpose when considering future operational needs. The employer seeks to maximise the use of the building by increasing the number of work stations throughout the building and to adopt new ways of working which will include hot-desking and team zones.
