ITT for Provision of Asset and Insurance Valuation Services

The Council wishes to invite interested parties (“Tenderers”) to participate in a tender exercise to establish a single Contract for the Provision of Asset and Insurance Valuation Services. The suitably qualified and experienced provider of Asset and Insurance Valuation Services will be required to provide the services described below and in the Tender Specification.

These services will be carried out on behalf of both Sandwell MBC and the West Midlands Fire Service.

Sandwell Council is a Metropolitan Borough Council situated in the West Midlands and lies approximately six miles west of Birmingham. The Borough comprises the areas of Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.

The West Midlands Fire Service operates throughout the West Midlands County covering the Metropolitan Districts of Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Solihull as well as the cities of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry.

The Strategic Asset Management service of the Council, on behalf of Strategic Finance, Risk & Insurance Services and the West Midlands Fire Service will issue instructions for work, monitor and manage the contract following the appointment of a successful tenderer.

The Council is seeking to procure an Asset Valuation and Insurance Valuation service together potentially with additional associated hourly rate based work incidental to the Council’s main requirements to be provided under a single contract on behalf of Sandwell MBC and the West Midlands Fire Service.

Term

The Council proposes to enter into a Contract Agreement for an initial term of five (5) years with a possible extension of a further year, subject to satisfactory performance. The anticipated commencement date is 5th September 2016

Value

The anticipated value of the Contract Agreement for Provision of Asset and Insurance Valuation Services is estimated is £216,000

The value is based on historical spend data and is intended to be used as a guide only. It is given in good faith as a guide to assist you in submitting your Tender. It is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated and should not be interpreted as an undertaking to purchase any services to any particular value and does not form part of the Contract Agreement or any contract pursuant to it.
