description
Reading Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from providers who have experience of delivering Direct Payment Support Services.
Our uptake of Direct Payments currently stands at around 10% amongst eligible Social Care clients. We wish to achieve a 35% uptake by April 2017, in order to promote greater levels of choice and independence amongst our service users, and in order to generate savings against our existing social care spend. This represents approximately 540 clients, though the amount of support required will vary for individual clients.
Our likely budget for such a service would potentially be around £50,000 p.a.
For further details please refer to the attached document relating to this market sounding exercise.
