description
In Spring 2017, Middlesbrough Council will be launching The Live Well Centre in central Middlesbrough. The Centre will be a flagship wellbeing hub, offering a wide range of support for people in Middlesbrough, who want to lead healthier and happier lives.
Following a successful market engagement event held on Friday 3rd February 2017, Middlesbrough Council are now seeking interest from wellbeing providers who want to support the development of an options appraisal that will determine how the Centre is run long-term. Specifically, we are seeking responses to the proposals outlined in the accompanying Market Sounding Prospectus, in order to help identify what the preferable service delivery model will look like. Options for the management of The Live Well Centre, include:
| • | In-house delivery (provided by Middlesbrough Council); |
| • | Externally contracted to a new provider following a tender process; |
| • | Joint venture with another public or private company; |
| • | Establishment of a local authority trading company; |
| • | Establishment of a social enterprise. |
We are inviting interested providers to respond to the proposals and strongly recommend this is done following an appraisal of the Market Sounding Prospectus.
Details of how to respond are included within the prospectus. All responses should be via the online response questionnaire provided (link below), and returned by close of play on Friday 17th March 2017.
