Description

Cefas require a Fisheries Events and Communications specialist to support the Clean Catch UK programme in delivering a high-profile, high quality, 3 - 4 day technical workshop in March 2022 to identify innovative, alternative fishing gears to static nets, to support the diversification in the UK fishing industry, to reduce sensitive marine species bycatch.

Dependant on the evolving COVID-19 situation, the workshop will be held primarily in-person in the UK, possibly in London or Plymouth with additional attendee's attending virtually. Multiple stakeholders will attend, including fishermen, technologists, scientists, Government policy, Conservationists, and others. The venue location is to be agreed between Cefas and the successful Tenderer. The workshop must also be available via an event platform/website accessible through a computer and or mobile, which the tenderer must host and manage.

The successful Tenderer must also ensure that the workshop and conference facilities make best efforts on sustainability and environmental concerns, limiting the use of single-use resources.
